With headquarters in Johannesburg, Teraoka S.A. (Pty) Ltd provides superior sales and service of electronic scales, automated weighing, wrapping and labelling systems, thermal printers, inspection equipment, self-adhesive labels and related consumables for both the retail supermarket industry as well as the food manufacturing industry.
Teraoka S.A. is the sole distributor of Teraoka/DIGI weighing systems and Anritsu inspection systems in Southern Africa as well as being a proud Honeywell Service Partner. Teraoka services both the domestic and international sectors (Africa) through its network of 10 sales and service branches strategically placed country wide as well as a broad distributor channel. A comprehensive support structure consisting of a 24Hr Help Desk, Research and Development, National Distribution Centre and Administration is housed at the headquarters to assist branches in supporting our customers. Teraoka S.A. has a staff compliment of approximately 280 people.
Teraoka also proudly boasts one of the largest and most efficient label manufacturing plants in South Africa. Teraoka’s Label Division has been manufacturing high quality pressure sensitive self-adhesive labels since 1995. Many years of experience and knowledge has, not only made us the market leaders in direct thermal labels, but has also allowed us to manufacture a wide range of labels across various industries including logistics, foods and pharmaceutical industries. We are industry pioneers and in 2006 became the only company in the industry to laminate/coat our own pressure sensitive label materials. Bypassing the middle supplier, this allows us to pass on savings to the entire market, resulting in the very best quality and pricing for our customers!
What is FSC?
The Forest Stewardship Council runs a global forest certification system and also licenses retailers and other end users to promote FSC labelled products, without holding FSC certification.
The FSC system allows businesses and consumers to identify, purchase and use wood, paper and other forest products made with materials from well-managed forests and/or recycled sources.
As the original pioneers of forest certification, they have 25 years of experience in sustainable forest management. FSC uses their expertise to promote the responsible management of the world’s forests, bringing together experts from the environmental, economic and social spheres.
